Contest: Fusion Design and Fanart [CLOSED]

Yep, it's time for a contest.
As most of you may know, I tried having a contest months ago but dA had "banned" them. I only really had one entry, but I'm still very thankful for that entry.
Point is, since that contest was a bust, it's time I make it up to everyone and start a new one!

The theme for this one is...
Fusion!
..Only two specific kinds of fusion.

Type One: Designing a Fusion
For this type, you task is to make the fusion design for my three main gem characters--
Mauve Pearl: (Mauve) Pearl
Dragon's Breath Opal: Let's Smash Stuff
Moonstone: Moonstone

I've tried like hell to make a design I was happy with, and I've clearly failed. I know I have talented artists following me, so it's up to you to design them!
You pick the gemstone, and you can make a weapon if you really feel up to it.
DBO's weapon is a War Hammer, Moonstone has a shield, and Pearl's is currently unknown.

Type Two: Fanart
If you don't think you're about to design the fusion, that's ok! This category is for you.
Simply draw any three main gems, and their fusions together! They are as follows--
Mauve Pearl: (Mauve) Pearl
Dragon's Breath Opal: Let's Smash Stuff
Moonstone: Moonstone
Angelite: Angelite
Pink Opal: Confidence
Purple Ammolite: Purple Ammolite
The fusions do not have designed weapons yet, but if you're feeling ambitious, you're more than welcome to design one for me! If I like it enough, I'll make it official.

Rules and Prizes:
The rules are as follows--
Create your own designs, meaning not to steal from an existing artist, art piece, or other entry.
Any drawing medium is accepted, but digitally colored would be the ideal choice.
Bases are allowed. I'm not really looking for quality of work; I'm more interested in overall designs
If your design does not win, you're allowed to resell it. But if it looks too much like one or all of the gems, then I'd say you can't sell it or give it away.
If I do like your design, I might just buy it off of you.
You must submit your entry on dA. If it's in sta.sh or anywhere but deviantART, it will not be accepted.
Advertising this contest is now a requirement. Either in a poll or journal, and let me know if you do by commenting below! If you have already entered, you do not need to advertise. If you haven't yet, then you need to.
You make as many entries as you want

First Place Prize:
1,500 and a digitally colored picture of your choice. Shading is optional.

Second Place Prize:
900 and a sketch of whatever you like.

Third Place Prize:[If enough people enter]
300 and a base edit.
The art prizes are for the people who make fanart. If you enter a design & win, you will win the points. It's like two sets of winners.
Fanart winners will get art, design makers will receive points.

I might add runner-up prizes, if I get enough entries.
The contest will end August 1st, 2016. That gives you the entire month of June, and then some. If need be, of course, the date can be extended if I'm asked.
